First lookpost for 2015 & setting goals

As-salaamu-alaikum 2015

A warm welcome to all you lovely readers... to my first blog post for the year 2015. First and foremost,  I would like to give thanks and praise for the amazing journey and experience I've had in 2014. May this year ahead be filled with great and amazing opportunities for us all.

I have had an extremely long break with my family in the beautiful city of Cape Town. A month of complete bliss and relaxation. However a tad bit of craziness in the last week before my sisters big day.  I must say though that it all paid off at the end. A round of applause to mama Bespoke and her team. An excellent job, well done! The theme of the wedding was vintage, absolutely breath taking... exactly how I envisioned it to be and my sister made an  absolutely beautiful bride.

As for 2015 setting goals for myself is an exceptionally important task which I religiously do at the beginning of each year and yes at times we find ourselves going to the left to the left lol. Therefore I make notes and remind myself  constantly, so that I can steer myself back into the right direction. Knowing exactly what it is that I would like to achieve and accomplish personally and as a entrepreneur. I am also in favour for constant change, learning and growing. To better myself in every aspect, as a mother, wife, friend and to make everything around me look and feel beautiful.

Now onto my lookpost. An outfit I wore to my sisters wedding 27 December 2014.
My inspiration came from an outfit off the runway by the talented and amazingly awesome designer Oscar de la Renta. It was for me love at first sight and voila I had myself an outfit. Keeping in  mind that I needed to make some changes to keep it simply modest and also decided on changing the
colour combo to cobalt blue and cream.

To complete the attire I complimented it with  a touch of cobalt blue and gold accessories keeping it quite subtle as you all should know by now that I'm not much of a bling kind of girl. As I had no idea on how I was going to be styling my headscarve. I  ended up using the bits of fabric that I had left over from the outfit.

Photos were taken back in Johannesburg. As it was my sisters special day I believe and felt that all the attention and focus was to be directed only to her. So had no time to strike posses... but had the opportunity to get the wonderful Nazeera Hassan of Infallible photographer to do a photo-shoot  AKA Hijab-Lifestyle-South-Africa.
