Neon and grey... Bye... Bye 2013

Assallam my fave Lads.

My oh my... I haven't done a look post in ages. Holiday season... just been taking up so much of my time.
Spending quality time with mama bespoke and my family. As my family resides in the beautiful city of Cape Town. I religiously spend my summer holidays with them in the beautiful city. Miss the city.... oh so much.. Insha Allah I make due that I will be back someday soon.

So as this is will be my final post for 2013. Hope you enjoy the look. I must say that I'm so looking forward to 2014, as there are lots of great and amazing things happening for The Bespoke Hijabi in the new year. Alghamdulilah. Feeling so blessed.

My look post today is all about Neon and grey. Took these pictures in November sometime and now you finally have it..   With neon colors so much in fashion these days, it’s easy to catch the neon bug! Personally, I simply cannot
get enough of these neon colors, in particular neon yellow, which has a touch of lime green.
Neon yellow paired with grey is particularly a winning combination for yours truly lately...

One of the simplest ways of adding neon to a summer wardrobe is to get neon colored accessoriesFashion should be about how you’re feeling at that particular moment and expressing yourself. Wearing what you’re really into has a positive psychological effect and makes you want to thrive.Don’t worry if the look you really enjoy is not exactly right on trend. Once you've caught onto a “trend” just enjoy what you’re wearing and just be yourself!

Most people are going around with blinders and so into themselves that they’re really not paying full attention anyway – even if it’s bright neon yellow and coming straight at them! So wear what you want…

Trying Neon Accesories..... Wearing neon accessories is another great way to ease yourself into the neon fashion trend. There is now a wide range of neon-colored accessories that you can choose from. For instance, spice up a dark corporate outfit with a fun neon necklace. Going out for the evening? Give that little black dress a touch of color by donning a chunky neon bracelet. Even adding a neon ring or a neon handbag to your everyday casual outfits can make a huge impact.

Neon accents are being seen in the form of a single, blinding accessory against an otherwise neutral ensemble. The trend has manifested itself in many different and personalized applications, from a pair of neon-bright high heels with jeans and a blazer to a neon-painted statement necklace.

THIS SUPER BRIGHT COLOR FAMILY ISN'T NEW TO FASHION, BUT IT IS BACK WITH FRESH SENSE OF WEARABILITY.

The Blazer and Le Emerald

Salaam my beauties...

Hope you are all well... Know I've been neglecting you lately.... However the past few weeks.... have been chaotic on my side... So Decided to do this look post for you....Hope you enjoy it.... Wore this outfie to my hubbies.... cycling year end function..... last Fri, 6 December 2013.

So here I am in the colour emerald which is described as  Lively. Radiant and Lush… Loooovvvveee... love this green... A color of elegance and beauty that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony.

Blazers are a must have.......I believe that a great tailored jacket  fitted to show off feminine curves, can be paired with everything from work trousers to jeans and skirts. A jacket adds structure to your figure..... gives curvy girls more angular lines, creates waistlines for boyish figure types and smooths out lumps and bumps for all shapes.
Blazer jackets are smart and savvy outerwear that adds style and panache to any outfit. Their clean lines and simple shapes are only outweighed by their cool and trendy style. Throughout the years, men and women alike have fashionably donned the Blazer with everything from a basic pair of jeans to a sleek pencil skirt.

The blazer jacket can inspire a wide range of stylish looks and personally influence a variety of different types of people. Whether men and women prefer sleek, city-chic looks or edgy, rock ‘n roll styles there’s a variety of smart and trendy blazer jackets to suit virtually every personal taste.

Although the classic design of this garment is still among the most preferred versions for men and women to wear, there have been new and exciting styles created. During this fashion season these fabulous pieces have been revamped with the addition fabulous fabrics, rich colours, feminine patterns and eye-catching embellishments.... for all women to explore and enjoy.

1920s gatsby look with a modern twist

Slm my lovelies.

Its been a while... Missed you all. Hope you all are doing well .... Happy to be finally sharing a look post with you this week.

So my lovie dovies...My look post today is an inspiring 1920s gatsby look...

A modern fashion twist and minimalist styling. "For me less is more". As a creative individual, I see fashion as a way to express my creativity. It is an extension of my personality, portraying it through my clothes and accessories. The ability to change, to constantly renew itself, is what makes fashion so intoxicating.

The current cultural obsession with the roaring 20s may have you feeling the need to incorporate luxury into your wardrobe, and these glamorous Gatsby fashions are perfect if you need a little inspiration.

Fashion in the 20s was inspired by jazz music, flapper culture and economic prosperity, which is very apparent in the Great Gatsby fashions. fashion in the 20s was largely about making a statement.

The Gatsby fashion offers many ways to emulate the opulence of that time. Dressing for the 20s is more attainable than you may think.

My advice on dressing for a cultural period would be to dress up and have fun!

Navy the new black

Slmz Madams!!!

Hope you all well and feeling blessed.

My look post is all about how navy has become the New Black.

Thinking back to my teen years and even early twenties the colour Navy just didn't have an effect on me... it was a complete no... no.. for me. I always visualized Navy to be a very cooperate colour. However for the past two years the colour has some what grown on me. So crazy that I probably have an equal amount of navy verses black in my closet. So here I am.... in my navy chino's and as I have such love for all things bright and beautiful.. spiced it up with colour.

Soooooo Madams.....Navy has become the new black so it is important to know how to wear it with all of that stuff you already own, from the days when black was the new black. For many years mixing navy blue and black was considered a big fashion no-no, so it is understandable that women are sometimes hesitant to mix the two. These days, fashion is more flexible and the mixing of navy blue and black can be used to create an extra dimension. As long as it is done properly.

The key to mixing navy blue and black is to ensure that it appears as an intentional style decision. You do not want people to think that you were half asleep when getting dressed, and that you just got confused. Think crisp black, and the navy blue should be light enough to not be mistaken for black. If necessary accentuate the different colours with different materials – this is naturally done if the navy/black difference is done with a belt or
shoes.

Be the best version of you.
Love you more than lemonade and lollipops

Cobalt blue

Slm  my Ladies.

Hope you had a fantastic weekend and ready to get this week started.

Been meaning to do this look post last week Friday already. However time just got the better of me.
Sooo my ladies... My look post is an outfit that I wore to my first ever Hijab workshop. Cobalt blue and paired it with floral Capri pant, gold accessories and a cream shoe.....

So my ladies....Cobalt blue is a hot trending color straight off the catwalks for spring/summer 2013. From outerwear to glam accessories, cobalt blue is everywhere this season. The cobalt blue trend might be exactly the wardrobe update you’re looking for. Cobalt blue is sure to add energy and intensity to any wardrobe.

One of my favorite things about putting together a colorful outfit is having the freedom to play with contrast and mood, regardless of the weather or season.  color is an excellent way to liven up any outfit, be it work-wear, formal-wear or lazy-Sunday-wear and my current favorite is cobalt blue.

Cobalt blue is another description for electric blue. What’s more, cobalt blue is a color that can be worn by women of any age without having to regard the suitability of their age against the shade to wear it. Cobalt blue is the perfect mix of trendy and sophistication for any season, any weather and any occasion.

Don’t go head to toe cobalt blue. That’s just tacky. Instead break it up with complimentary colors.
Avoid dark colors such as mauves, browns or teal that will offset or distract the stunning hue of cobalt blue.

Compliment the cobalt blue by teaming gold or silver accessories  with your cobalt blue .

Floral & Vintage

Hellooooooo My lovely lads...

Hip Hip Hooray... It's Wednesday Today... Can't believe how the weeks just fly by....

Anyways...........

Due to my addiction for anything vintage. Decided to do this look post for you. So here I am in my little vintage floral shirt, adding a pop of apple green and spiced it up with my 6 inch Aldo Pumps.

I love Being bold with color and experiment with new and unexpected mixes of vintage floral.

As is customary with fashion trends, vintage floral has made a comeback. Yet, rocking it properly takes a little bit of thought. The last thing you want to do is walk out of your house looking like you robbed your grandma's closet. Luckily, it isn't all that difficult to pull off once you have the right accessories. Floral prints are adorable but, after you cross a certain age threshold and no longer have to hold your mom's hand to cross the street, it's time to spice up the floral prints so that it doesn't look like you still belong in elementary school.

Ways to add a modern touch to the vintage Items. Try contrasting colors to give it a bold touch but don't overdo it. If the floral print is large and flashy, go with a subtle, accessories.

Shoes are also a great way to balance out the vintage look.  They provide the perfect neutral look to go with any floral design, yet they have enough of a modern feel to take you from grandma to sexy with just the slip of a shoe.

However, the same rule applies. If the floral print has a lot going on, keep the shoes simple. If it is a subtle print, than take it to the next level by wearing a pair of shoes that really make a statement. It's all about balancing it out, keeping the equilibrium. You want to make looking good appear effortless, not like you are trying desperately to keep up with current trends.
