Le Maxi Dress

Maxi dresses are sooo gorgeous. Don't you just love the way the hemline gently sways around the legs? Me likey! So appropriate for us Muslim lads.

After the sky-high hemlines of the early 21st century, the maxi dress gained a whole new generation of fans, as women everywhere sought out a comfortable, low-key alternative to the mini-skirts and impossibly short shorts of the period.

However, the maxi dress is no longer the voluminous mound of polyester it was in the 1970s. Today's designers rely on cotton and other fine fabrics, which keep the wearer feeling cool and breezy, even on the hottest summer days. Modern maxi dresses also offer a much more flattering fit, with plenty of styles to accentuate any figure.t's all in how you wear it, 'hon

Many women associate long dresses with dressy, formal occasions. However it's all changing now - and it has become acceptable and stylish to wear a maxi dress without hurting your fashion repertoire. A long dress is elegant, comfy and chic!

However, to look stylish in longer hems without projecting any signs of frumpiness, is solely dependent on how you style it. You also need to work extra on selecting the right style for your body figure, scale and height.
With the right accessories, you can go from sleek and classy to trendy and chic.

Until me next post my Beauties...
Stay true and wear Maxi's!!!!

Bespoke Hijabi Workshop

Slmz my beauties....

Starting off with a positive note......Alghamdullilah my first Hijabi workshop on 19 October 2013 was a success.

Thank you to one and all who attended my workshop.

I hope that you learned something new and developed a greater passion and love for Hijab.

With being a fairly new Hijabi making the esteemed change two years ago and even though I feel proud, protected and respected..... as well as honoring... by what my maker has prescribed upon me.

I found myself feeling  very daunted, conspicuous and odd at times. So I started experimenting, researching and making my Hijab my own by 'Owning IT". With that I decided to invest my time in this worthy cause by facilitating  Hijab Workshops and sharing my creativity with all Muslimah's.

My workshop comprised of basic styles (for me less is definitely more).

Demonstrating to the ladies how to  wear different styles of Hijab for different occasions (work, function, casual, etc).

As this is my level entry 1 basic Hijab Workshop, level 2 and 3 being more advanced, are soon to follow.

I also included a Makeup tutorial in my workshop. Showing ladies how to enhance their natural beauty

I would also like to take the opportunity to thank:

My Kinda Candy Store "Make-up"

When choosing make-up, it's important to use make-up products that compliment and enhance your natural beauty,  your skin tone and hair. Remember, embrace, don't erase!

Bespokers I have a few professional products that I have in my make-up kit, However one of my favorite brands are Studio Makeup. You can find them in Bryanston, Riverside Shopping center.

So my lovelies find your favorite facial feature and capitalize it. But don't over do it!

Before heading off to the mall or cosmetics store, get familiar with your natural features. When shopping for make-up, it's good to know what you want ahead of time. Ask yourself, "What would look good with your skin tone?" "What color eye-shadow would bring out my eyes?" "Lip stick, lip gloss,  If so, what shade?" etc. That's why I recommend the makeup studio. Donna has been in the industry for many years and has the best advice to offer you when it comes to makeup.

Foundation is the base of make-up. If you use good foundation, you will look simply stunning! I promise no brand can beat Studio Makeup foundation. Since I am a professional Makeup artist and tried many. I swear theirs are the best. I absolutely love it.

Eye-shadow the most important thing about wearing eye-shadow is making sure the color of the shadow compliments your eyes.

Blush is for bringing out your smile. You do not have to wear it, though, but it makes you 'glow. For every skin tone there are colors that complement YOU and colors that make you look like a clown. Colors aren't just a "one size fits all" and there aren't really and traditional colors. And don't go with red unless you are ready to join the circus and become a clown! And when you find the perfect color, don't over do it. blush is supposed to enhance your skin naturally, so I recommend using light strokes.

Lips need stick! Lips need gloss! But which do you wear? . Your skin tone does effect your color of lip product, though. So make sure you know your skin tone and what complements it.

My Orange Number

Hey Bespokers.... Just a little something..... something....
Being a mom and finding the time to apply new ideas to your own style can be daunting, Especially if you've gotten used to the comfortable and always in a rush look. Bespokers we need to make the time. As they say if you feel good you look good

I've heard peeps say it doesn't matter how you look ... Its whats in your heart..."I believe that your first impression is always a lasting one".  Honey, you should care about how you look. Too many times I have seen a frazzled looking mothers at the grocery store. Don't be that mom. Now, I'm not saying become a 1950s housewife whose hair is perfect, makeup is perfect and who wears a dress and heels to mop the floor. But take pride in your appearance. Get yourself feeling feminine again.

After taking that mandatory shower take a few minutes to put on some clean and attractive clothes and get yourself feeling feminine again. Whether it be a comfy look or even just by  adding  a little blush and lip gloss and you good to go.

So my beauties.... Being in the corporate world,  prior to me wearing Hijab, being married and a stay home mum. I ended up having a range of pencil skirts. So instead of throwing them out of my closet. I decided to still wear them and incorporate and make them appropriate with my Hijab. See me in me bright orange number...

My first Post.... Whoppie.... Everything happens in due time......

I'm a qualified makeup artist and fashion stylist. Being stopped timeously  in shopping centres by ladies asking me about my HIJAB styles and my fashion sense , whilst assisting my friends and family at the same time... I decided to start a fashion blog and  empower women through workshops, personal consultations and individual makeover experiences. I did this because I've always had a passion for fashion, a love for makeup and the desire to always look and feel good.

I made the esteemed change to start wearing Hijab two years Alhamdulillah and I made a promise to myself that I would never lose my identity as Waseefa. I would incorporate my style and sass into becoming an Hijabi. I think that it's important to make that extra effort in your appearance. That will ensure that you don't get yourself caught up into the all too familiar comfort zone.

When I'm out, I'm always inspired by trendy street styles and I'm constantly refreshed with new ideas and inspiration for my own outfits and add little twists to it.

So Bespokers Hope you enjoy this journey and Insha Allah may I be of an inspiration to other Muslimah's out there.

Until my next post
Keep watching!!!
